Our founder accepted into Google Summer of Code 2008

Our company's founder Sergej Rinc has been accepted into Google Summer of Code 2008! What's best is he will help extending eXist (native XML database) with distributed search so one database can reside (e.g. is distributed) on several servers and it will be possible to search across them.

We plan to use eXist in our solutions whenever general XML (and multimedia XML!) data is best choice for describing information in the database.

Update Oct 29th 2008: unfortunately due to little communication with mentor and personal losses project wasn't finished. Inspite that it is continued now in the company because of its strategic purpose - and opensource community will gain from spletin.net too. It is only a question of time and relaxed development with enough information - things that were missed during official project time.
